The hard terrain of the andes and the amazon, along with the corruption of the government are big factors in this issue.

As someone who’s not Peruvian, nor ever been to Peru, but on occasion do enjoy Peruvian cuisine, I can confidently confirm that this is an alien attack in a Peruvian village.

I do find it interesting how we humans instantly think aliens will be hostile when they land. If they're sentient enough to have a high tech spaceship then they're sentient enough to attempt communication before engaging in combat

This is very similar to what happened in Brazil in the 70's on Amazon's forest villages. There is a 'Plate operation' to investigate lightning obxts hurting people. ('Opera??o prato' in portuguese). But in that case, there was no 'humanoid predator' spotted. Shit is getting really hardcore..

I will say, it’s possible- though unlikely that any alien advanced enough to traverse the cosmos would probably have no trouble intentionally or accidentally scrambling electronics, signals and maybe videos. It could explain the classic alien trope. I’m more inclined to believe it’s the government messing with us though.

My father is from Bolivia, my aunt lived in Peru for 2 years, & I have friends from Brazil. I also work in a hot spot for hospitality & work as a photographer for a theme park.
With that being said families will ask me to use their cell phones & I don’t think people realize how slow & poor quality a lot of these phones can be.
Even my Brazilian friends will come here to buy phones from Apple because the options there are either gouged in price or their other affordable options are phones with the quality of a 2009 Samsung. Plus I have to send my family in Bolivia my old smart phones because of the prices there.
Hate to say it, but we’re out of touch to think that a remote village in Peru would have phones that carry anything higher than a 3 megapixel camera.
These phones often lag when you try to capture the images. Just keep that in mind. This camera quality isn’t abnormal, to me, in 2023.

The peruvian people has been harassed by these "things" for decades, if not centuries. There's a lot of native historical literature, paintings,etc where the "Pelacaras" are mentioned, among other weird stuff. The only thing happenig since July is just this case with this town in particular; the Amazon jungle is a HUGE unexplored territory, full with very similar storys.
Something's goin on in there, and now the natives have cellphones , and the media is there. That's the only difference.

I've heard some of the villagers firsthand personal descxtion and what they described was not jetpacks. Not only that how do you explain that they were 7ft tall? All the miners just happened to be 7 ft tall Giants? The whole entire explanation sounds suspect.
