US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth on Monday ordered the active-duty military to reduce its number of four-star generals and flag officers by 20% in order to improve efficiency.

To give people some perspective of what is going on. During WW2 General Eisenhower commanded US forces and had under his control including civilian workers in factories about 12 million people. At that time there were about 7 four stars in total. Today the US forces are a little over 500,000 and there are 11 four star generals. How do you become a general? not by intelligence or ability but by jointing a pollical party or peddling MIC crap. Look at Petraeus, McCaffery, Hodges etc who are prime examples. A good example of incompetence was Petraeus and General William Wallace decided to attack this village/town in Iraq and the buffoons sent 3 battalions and several helicopters in support. One battalions got lost and the other two were ambushed and destroyed as well as the helicopters. Yet not a peep has ever been mentioned of this action. Wallace ended up a four star like Petraeus. For those that are interested the US lost over 10,000 in Iraq.
