Let's be honest. There is no more middle class. There is only upper class and low class. You could be making a middle class income but the cost is so high, you'll essentially be living paycheck to paycheck.

The fact that you are using a cell phone to classify yourself as lower class in an English comment on a 10 minute long video is not only ignorant but also disrespectful to the actual lower class. Try spending some time with them, perhaps you'll stop whining all the time.

The primary driver is not the military leadership, if it were not the military, it would be another faction, for this problem exists all over the world where the elites, the one percent, are capturing all the wealth, and the people are getting poorer and poorer, albeit in different countries the problem exists to varying degrees, and that problem is the Secular-Capitalist System and the American hegemony of the World. In other words, it's a systemic problem, not one of corruption, although corruption is a symptom of the root problem.

I mean, we shouldn't just wish for stability there for our own sake. Most of the people there are simple people who don't hate India. I feel for them and hope the country recovers, but this downward spiral has been going on for many years, with no improvement in sight.

we lived through 2005 to 2014 period when almost 50,000 people died due to terrorism but still we stayed as there was optimism, but since the change of govt there is deep rooted pessimism in country despite security situation being much better, Pakistan is home to 60 million + middle class with large english speaking population but government has failed to tap in the potential broken trust of millions, as doctor almost half of my batchmate now work in UK Ireland USA as Physicians such a loss to Pakistan

Im Sri Lankan, not just in Pakistan. it's literally in every South Asian country. We've been independent since the '40s, but our economies have only been going backward. Immigration is only a logical solution as it doesn't matter if you are a well-educated individual with a stable income when your country is so unstable that you can trust a ball balanced on top a needle more than the government itself.

Never in the history of this country injustice has prevailed at this level. Young population who is almost 60-70% of this country have always wanted change by vote, in recent polls young population voted for Khan but establishment stole the election and gave the power to the same corrupt families of bhuttoes and sharifs against whom khan was fighting all his political life. We have never seen such kind of censorship in Pakistan before even during the reign of dictators, young people who demonstrated against military are now facing military courts which is totally illegal. Everyone who speaks against military is immediately picked up by agencies with there houses and businesses demolished and they have no further right to live in this country, there is even the talk of canceling the passports and ids of overseas Pakistanis who speak up or protest abroad. Such is the level of destruction going on in Pakistan by the hand of corrupt military establishment who are supposed to protect the borders but are busy in making money by doing business

Its the same situation everywhere. I'm from South Africa. Even UK, Australia, Canada is suffering from a similar situation. Your salary, which was once enough to live comfortably, is no longer enough, despite the CPI increases. Despite this, the rich guys are getting wealthier.
Capitalism is slowly falling apart, and there is no running away for the middle class.

I doubt that Pakistan has middle class. Pakistan never abolished the landlords. The rich people in Pakistan are really rich rich. Probably that is why, Pakistan has large number of private flights compared to regular ones. Its the offsprings of the rich who are being drained.

It used to happen India between 1980s and 2010s when Millions of Entrepreneurial Middle classes fled to the West Majorly due to socialist politics and animosity to Entrepreneurs, But since 2014, The No of Indian Startups exploded from 500 to 120,000+ in 2024 making it the country with 2nd highest no of Registered startups only behind China and Unicorn startups boomed from 5 to 110+ in 2024 which in only behind the US and China, and a lot of them are founded by X-silicon valley workers like the founders of Flipkart who worked at Amazon US and it was bought by Walmart in 2018 for a massive $ 18 Billion USD as it became the biggest competitor of Amazon in India in E-commerce as the Current Modi govt. not only openly supports entrepreneurs thru policies, they are also Subsidizing and removing regulation to encourage more People to Invest and become a Millionaire/Billionaire Founder in India rather than in London or Bay Area

But if you look the official data the no of Indian leaving India is record high in 2024 itself. Even the no of Indian illegal immigrants trying to go to America via Mexico border has significantly increased since 2014 you can see the data in public domain and no of Indians applying for foreign visas has also increased since 2014 and no of people leaving Indian citizenship has also increased and record high no. of millionaires has also left India for other countries highest in Asia after China. The no. of Unicorns as well as valuation of startups has significantly decreased after 2022 with low funds.India has generated 5 unicorns in 2024 compared to 44 in 2021 and many unicorn companies have gone bankrupt or at the brink of bankruptcy like Byju's

Most countries that are conducted on religious beliefs remain poor. Invest your time in education. Teach people to be tolerant and patient. Cut down army budget by 50%. And most importantly, enforce a one-child policy.

I'm from Pakistan i do agree taxes and other things prices are increasing rapidly in just last 2,3 years it has been went to 3,4× now. But still people are managing to continue their life.
And the scenes in video are only from underdeveloped areas, showing elite class societies and areas would ruin the purpose of the documentry.
I agree that inflation is major issue but even after that living cost in Pakistan is cheapest than other countries.

It’s the fundamentals of their constitution that led to this really. Democracy is missing. The military decides what political party should be ruling. The military has the say in key sectors (defense, foreign and more). Their (especially Army) fixation to Kashmir and extremism has led them here. I don't think the constitution is going to change (or can it?), so the army will always going to have the ultimate power no mater what.
 
這確實是他們憲法的基礎(chǔ)問題導(dǎo)致的。民主根本不存在，軍隊會決定哪個政黨該執(zhí)政，軍隊在關(guān)鍵的領(lǐng)域（國防、外交等等）有最終的話語權(quán)。他們（尤其是軍隊）對克什米爾和極端主義的執(zhí)著把他們帶到了今天這一步。我覺得憲法不會變（能變嗎？），所以不管怎樣，軍隊永遠(yuǎn)會有最終的權(quán)力。

The problem with tax is that sure you take that said amount of tax from us but what's the turnover in the quality of living in the country. Those who pay taxes don't see any relief from paying them. With such a lack of infrastructural maintenance there's no point to paying taxes
